I’ve been using Clicktale for this for about a year now. I think the URL is clicktale.com. They have a free version that will do up to 400 pageviews per month, but if you need more than that, then the price is pretty ($100/month).

Search engine optimization. Search engine results are the starting point for at least 70% of all online behavior. How on earth will you help someone market themselves online if you don’t even know what moves a site up and down in the rankings? Quick hint: Saying “SEO? Oh, we optimize your meta tags” is the same as saying “I am a severely impaired nubwit“.

You owners and managers who currently have a website are probably thinking, “I already have a website; isn’t that good enough? Doesn’t that cover the Internet side of things as it relates to my business?” No! Having a website is only half of the equation; having your website seen by potential customers is the other half. After all, what’s the point in having a website if nobody sees it? You see, Internet marketing is all about quality website traffic. Not all traffic is created equal; you want website visitors who are interested in eating pizza right now—targeted traffic. Those are the website visitors who are going to pick up the phone and order a pizza from you.

The client is a small husband-and-wife team making high-quality handmade preserves. Their main differentiator is offering a sugar-free line that is popular among diabetics. They have many repeat-customers purchasing at a few small local stores and at farmers markets. I have just completed working with them on launching an online store, and now would like to help them find someone who can work with them on an ongoing basis to build their online sales. Their goal is to reach online sales of 300+ jars per month within 3-4 months. I would need you to develop a variety of campaigns across channels (email marketing, social media, content marketing, SEO, etc), monitor those campaigns, and help the company focus in on the most effective strategies that you can help them maintain moving forward. The company is already active on social media, Instagram being their most popular channel with ~350 followers. They have an email list (Mailchimp) of nearly 100 that’s regularly growing with signups at tastings. Engagement is relatively low, and the company is very open to experimenting with promotions to help drive traffic to the website. Down the line, I would like comfort level with rolling out content (e.g.: blog posts) to help boost SEO. I would also like someone with comfort doing research for PR opportunities to help boost SEO. An added plus is someone with experience making low-cost but professional graphics (e.g.: for social posts) without needing a backup designer. There will be very few obstacles for immediately generating and executing on ideas. All accounts are already established, and you will have support from an expert in making any needed changes on the website. The ideal partner for this company is someone comfortable experimenting with many different areas of digital marketing to figure out the best fit to drive sales.

Image and Design Tools. Apps and software that can help you create blog images and valuable visual content to capture the attention of your audience. Popular tools include Canva, Piktochart, SlideShare, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.

Video sales letters aren’t new, but they continue to prove more effective than text. If done well, VSLs engage an audience for longer and can allow you to present your offer in the exact way you wish to portray it.

Diplomacy. Yeaaahhhhhhhhh I’m still working on this one. Learn to advocate, strongly, for controversial points that you know for certain are critical to your client. Without alienating every single person in the room. ‘Diplomacy’ is the ability to tell people they’re totally wrong, and make them smile at the same time.

Beyond the website and email list, you need to decide what strategies will work best for you. That starts by knowing your target market, where it can be found, and how to best attract their attention. For example, social media is a great free way to connect with people, but if your market isn’t on Twitter, maybe you don’t need to Tweet.

In it, you’ll be shown you how to profit immediately, while you learn this “internet thing”. You’ll learn how to implement a real, tangible system that brings results right now so you can pay the bills while you build your platform for success.

Today, technology and commerce go hand in hand, making it almost impossible to thrive in the business world without an online presence. Internet marketing has the potential to be the deciding factor in your company’s success or failure. This selection of handpicked internet marketing tips and tricks, will give your campaign a competitive edge.

When considering whether or not to specialize or generalize, it’s also best to take into account where you want to be working in and the resources that are likely to be available. On a small team, if everyone specializes, you can have serious knowledge holes that are less apparent and less likely on a large team. Often it’s the generalists who can look at something they don’t know, realize someone needs to learn it, and figure enough out to get the job done. On a good team, you need a mix of both.

3. Can you afford it? If the program or center you are considering joining is out of your budget it won’t do you any good. The best information in the world will be a waste if you can’t continue being a member until you’ve perfected all the skills you need to perfect.

Promoting the business is often one of the most difficult tasks for a business owner. This is one of the reason why there are so many ad agencies available. However, if you are going to advertise your business on the Internet, do not spend your…

I do not consider myself an internet marketer by any means (at least, not yet), but I have been slowly learning this stuff over the past couple years. The only thing I disagree with is statistics. I don’t see how that’s important – especially if you’re talking about the inferential type.

I realize this incredible system might sound too good to be true – so let me show you screen shots of my account! You see – you have nothing to lose and I take all the risk for sharing this secret system.

We live in a generation where there are extremes and mediocre at the same time. I am not sure whether every one of you could relate to this but I have found an overwhelmingly high percentage of people who could have managed to do well and stay well, if they had this world working on their logic. I w…

To avoid this, you should always copy from the original source, paste into a plain text editor (like Notepad on PC), then copy it again from there and paste it into the final destination. This way you will only be pasting in the text and nothing else.

Google Analytics is our favorite program.  Don’t just look at hits – look at unique visitors, referrers, exit and entry pages, time spent on site, and keyword combinations used to arrive at your site and goals.  Not sure how to set up goals or events, we can help.   Any site that can measure a conversion (a sign-up, a purchase, an action) should truly analyze traffic patterns, keywords and pay per click programs with a good tool. Not sure how to track conversions, ask Mannix Marketing, we have lots of options for you!

@Rick Yup, I had a tough time deciding whether to include XHTML and CSS. In the end I included it with the caveat, because I don’t think you can design a house without at least basic knowledge of how the plumbing works.

The people who do make it work then end up marketing their internet marketing secret. But will it work for you? Not necessarily, even if it’s guaranteed (as most marketers claim their products and services to be). There are many variables that go into how successful you will be in your internet marketing endeavor.
